A Sunday for the books - Pizzeria Mike Kelly @therealmikelly was slinging our favorite pies west of Rome, while Keen's Creamery @keenscreamery made all of our summer fantasies come true with handcrafted ice cream. Twentieth Street Garden quenched everyone’s thirst with spritzes and beer.

Summer Solstice in the Garden with Haps Club

Twentieth Street Garden and Haps Club came together to welcome the start of summer and celebrate the longest day of the year. We got up at the crack of dawn to get the fire pit going, and smoked pork shoulder, chicken thighs, and mushrooms, accompanied by an array of classic BBQ sides including grilled corn, coleslaw, potato salad and peach streusel bars.

One of our favorite events to date: the Photosynthesis finale with Softgenes and Corduroy Garden. An incredible lineup of musicians and speakers filled the garden with experimental and ambient sounds while we served a house-made menu of mezze, drinks, and even celery soda featuring ingredients harvested from the garden itself.

Live Fire Cooking Workshop with Anya Fernald

The Garden was honored to host chef, entrepreneur, and sustainable food advocate Anya Fernald to share her expertise in cooking over live fire. The workshop was a true celebration of local sourcing: seafood purchased that morning from the San Pedro Fish Market, sourdough from San Pedro Sourdough, and produce from the farmers market. Together, these ingredients showcased the beauty of cooking with fire and the remarkable flavors that emerge when fresh ingredients are treated simply. We were honored to be able to donate a portion of our proceeds from this event to Nourish LA.

Spring Pig Roast with Hock & Myer and Biite Club

Hock & Myer and Biite Club joined us for a spring pig roast that brought together more than 60 guests for one of our largest gatherings to date. Twentieth Street Garden prepared a menu of seasonal sides, many cooked over open flame alongside the centerpiece roast.

Adobe Creative Club Cyanotype Workshop

We welcomed Adobe Creative Club back to the garden for a cyanotype workshop led by Qurissy. Guests brought photographs of their mothers, family members, and loved ones, creating thoughtful handmade gifts just in time for Mother's Day.

Cinco de Mayo with Haps Club

For Cinco de Mayo, we partnered with Haps Club and our favorite local taco truck, Tacos Como En El DF. Luis kept the tacos and burritos coming while we served classic agave cocktails from the bar. It was the perfect way to celebrate with friends old and new.

Private Asado

In April, we welcomed Creative Lunch Club and Adobe Creative Club for an afternoon dedicated to connection, conversation, and creative exchange, bringing together artists, designers, and makers from across Los Angeles.

It was a true joy hosting the Gauchos Catering Company for our inaugural Domingo de Asado—a seven-course celebration of Argentine BBQ at its finest, complemented by snacks, salads, and soups inspired by the garden’s harvest.

A slow and steady meal accompanied by fire and community, exactly how a Sunday should feel.
